Beyond declarations: Action for Yemen

The Yemen Citizenship Project believes in the power of proactive intervention. Here, we present our suggestions for the United Nations to foster lasting peace and protect Yemeni citizens. Your voice matters, whether you're a concerned citizen or a diplomatic entity.

Stronger action for a lasting peace

Just as the UN authorized decisive action in Libya in 2011 to protect civilians and uphold the government, we suggest a similar, more robust approach is desperately needed in Yemen. The current humanitarian crisis demands more than resolutions; it demands intervention that genuinely impacts the conflict's trajectory and safeguards human lives. Preventing another revolution and significantly reducing the death toll should be paramount.

Making a real impact for Yemeni citizens

While the UN's past efforts in Yemen have been positive and beneficial in many ways, the scale of the ongoing suffering necessitates a more profound and impactful commitment. Our core message is clear: the UN needs to take stronger, more decisive action to truly make a difference for Yemeni citizens and to move beyond containment to resolution.
